It’s been a while since I’ve updated this blog. I guess I’ve viewed it more as a business forum than a personal one until now. I have never been more grateful for my talents than I have been in the last few months.
After finding out I was pregnant with our second child I let everything slide and tried to enjoy my two-year-old as much as possible. I knew it wouldn’t be long before I had to divide my attention. While eagerly awaiting the new baby’s arrival, we had made arrangements for family to come visit and help out. As we all know, life does not always go as planned.
Among stresses with the pregnancy came the stress of my mothers unexpected passing. I was sad that she would not be able to come to the birth as planned, but was thankful for the ability to honor her by creating a slideshow for her funeral before I went into labor. I knew her spirit was there with me in the hospital and I know God was mindful of my emotional recovery because he made everything fall into place so that I could travel to her funeral three days after having the baby.
Two weeks after returning from our trip we found out that my husband will be stationed at Kunsan Air Base in Korea for one year without the boys and me. I am thankful that I will be able to record him reading the boys stories and taking them to the park so that I can put a video together for them. I hope this will help them remember their dad on the hard days. The same goes for their dad…I will be able to take pictures and video of the boys accomplishments as they grow over that year and send them to their dad.
In memory of my loved mother, Margo Stratton, who loved life, adventure, and family.
